Infopark, Kochi (Malayalam: ഇൻഫോപാർക്ക്) is an information technology park situated in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India. Established in 2004 by the Government of Kerala,〔() InfoPark to be inaugurated today〕 Infopark Phase I is spread over a campus with of operational built-up space, and an additional is now under construction, housing over 200 companies which employ close to 25,000 professionals.〔〔http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Kochi/a-year-of-double-delight-for-infopark/article6734740.ece〕 The park is currently on expansion mode and is adding another as part of its Phase II expansion. The notable tenants in the park include Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Wipro, UST Global, IBS Software Services etc. and Multinational corporations like KPMG, Ernst & Young, EXL Services, Etisalat DB Telecom, Nielsen Audio, Xerox ACS, QBurst Technologies etc. IT exports from Infopark continued to register robust growth in 2013-14 with revenues rising 53% year-on-year to Rs 2,350 crores which is more than one-third of the State’s total IT exports.〔 The park is built on the 'Hub and Spoke model' for the development of the Information Technology industry in Kerala. InfoPark Kochi acts as the hub to the spokes located at Thrissur and Cherthala .〔()〕 ==Location and connectivity== Infopark is from downtown Kochi and from the Cochin International Airport. Infopark is connected to Seaport-Airport Road via the Infopark Expressway, a 4-lane road. Kerala State Water Transport Department operates boat service between Kakkanad and Vyttila Mobility Hub. The Ernakulam district administration, which comprise the city of Kochi has proposed a waterway connecting InfoPark to Marine Drive, Kochi.〔() Report on waterway in a month〕 The Infopark campus lies adjacent to SmartCity, Kochi, an information technology park, making the town of Kakkanad a very important center for IT/ITES in the state of Kerala.〔() IT's the way to go for Kerala〕 VSNL's communication gateway, is located close to Infopark.〔() Kerala has cost effective bandwidth〕 Two submarine cables, SAFE and SEA-ME-WE 3, have their landing points at the gateway. Infopark is directly linked by optical fiber to the gigabyte router of VSNL, which provides the park with 100% uptime data connectivity.
